there be....doing 和 there be....done 的区别

老师你好。我不知道there be句型当中什么时间接doing 或done ，这里“The doctor told him that there was only two years remaining. ”为什么不是remained？为何又有There are two day left for the final examination. 

这个和there be 没关系。remain 一般用主动形式，即remaining 分词，不需要表示被动的过去分词，当然remaining 也可以看作从目前分词变化而来的形容词。left 修饰two days 需要用过去分词，表示被动。这是remain 和leave 这两个词的使用方法决定的。
